Safety, Health and Environmental Risk

The teaching of safety, health and environmental risk (SHE) issues to undergraduates studying engineering courses is an important part of the education of future engineers, and is generally thought to be an area insufficiently covered in current courses. The Inter-Institutional Group on Health and Safety has produced this document, which may be used by lecturers and course designers, as a guide to providing undergraduates with a basic understanding of SHE issues relevant to their specific course of professional study.
