Boards and committees

Terms of reference of the main IET boards and committees.

The IET is governed by an elected Board of Trustees. The terms of reference of the Board of Trustees are in the IET Bye-Laws. Reporting to the Board are:

Audit Committee;
Finance and Investment Committee;
Nominations Committee;
Remuneration Committee.

The activities of the IET are managed by five main Boards. These are:

Membership and Regions Board;
Publications Board;
Qualifications Board;
Technical and Professional Services Board;
Young Professionals Board.

The Council is made up of elected and appointed members who act as an advisory body to the Board of Trustees and the other Boards and Committees.
